The Key (And Lock) That Bends

Screen Shot 2014-10-26 at 7.07.40 PM

The invention relates to a lock assembly with a curved keyway, more particularly to a lock assembly having a lock body with a longitudinal curved keyway and at least two differently oriented sets of tumbler members provided thereon.

The curved keyway removes tumbler members provided on the lock body from straight access which makes actuation or manipulation of the tumbler members more difficult for a thief. The flexible key has a plurality of knuckles hinged to one another.

This would likely confuse the crap out of most lockpickers…

About

I design video games for a living, write fiction, political theory and poetry for personal amusement, and train regularly in Western European 16th century swordwork. On frequent occasion I have been known to hunt for and explore abandoned graveyards, train tunnels and other interesting places wherever I may find them, but there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I am preparing to set off a zombie apocalypse. Nothing that will stand up in court, at least. I use paranthesis with distressing frequency, have a deep passion for history, anthropology and sociological theory, and really, really, really hate mayonnaise. But I wash my hands after the writing. Promise.
