Canada’s Western University’s Mysterious Codes

At least 16 hidden messages have been discovered inside books at Western University in Canada and feature sets of unusual symbols with an accompanying item such as a gem or feather that seems to relate to the code.

Each code is printed on a piece of plain white paper which also boasts an image of an everyday household item like a cardboard box or a table.

The back of the notes also make reference to a blog, which has been viewed nearly 50,000 times, that is completely blank except for its title DBW Stack.

The majority of the notes have been found between pages 16-17 of books at the university’s Weldon library and the font that is used is believed to be a custom design.

About

I design video games for a living, write fiction, political theory and poetry for personal amusement, and train regularly in Western European 16th century swordwork. On frequent occasion I have been known to hunt for and explore abandoned graveyards, train tunnels and other interesting places wherever I may find them, but there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I am preparing to set off a zombie apocalypse. Nothing that will stand up in court, at least. I use paranthesis with distressing frequency, have a deep passion for history, anthropology and sociological theory, and really, really, really hate mayonnaise. But I wash my hands after the writing. Promise.
