Thanks to a German badger, skeletal remains dated to the twelfth century have been discovered in Stolpe. In addition to several skeletons–which include several warriors and two lords–a sword, bronze bowls and a belt buckle were also discovered.
The badger in question was followed to his home by two amateur archaeologists. After catching eye of a human pelvic bone, the archaeologists investigated. After discovering some of the artifacts, they contacted the authorities who continued the excavation.
This impressive discovery will go on display in September at the Archaeological State Museum in Brandenburg, Germany.
